Asha K S Nair holds the position of an Assistant Professor (Sr Grade) in the decision sciences field and is concurrently pursuing her doctorate at the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) in Mumbai. Asha has qualified for UGC Net in Management and has gained a combined experience of 8 years in both the academic and industry sectors. Previously, Asha held the position of a marketing specialist at Thomson Reuters in Mumbai. She has also worked as a research assistant for S.P. Jain Institute of Management Research (SPJIMR) in Mumbai. She co-founded Roots2shoots Organics, an initiative aimed at providing marketing support to organic farmers located in Wayanad.
Asha has also volunteered as a sales support member for the British Heart Foundation in London and as a child educator for the AXF Foundation in Mumbai.In addition to her teaching and research, she fosters stray cats and dogs. She is also a DIY enthusiast. She makes bio enzymes, soap-nuts based detergents and natural probiotics like Kombucha. She does organic farming at her native home in Kerala. She is interested in permaculture as a sustainable farming method and is a fan of Fukuoka and his book, “one straw revolution”.
Asha is passionate about promoting sustainability transformations at both individual and organizational levels. Her research interests encompass sustainability, circular economy, social entrepreneurship, behavioral strategy, sustainability competencies, dynamic capabilities for sustainability, organizational and managerial cognition, and place-based sustainability.
